New Lead Pastor
Pastor Tim Poferl
Tim and Judy Poferl have three adult children, and two grandchildren. They moved to Geneva and began their ministry at Peoples Church in June of 2024. Tim has served in full-time ministry with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for over 30-years. Before coming to Geneva, they served in churches in Pennsylvania, Iowa and Illinois.
They both attended Crown College in Minnesota, and were married following graduation. They then attended Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY.
They enjoy spending time with family and friends, entertaining, walking their dogs, sports, playing games, reading a good book, or watching a movie.

Tim’s life ministry verse comes from Colossians 1:28-29, “He is the One we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.”
Elders
The Elder board is praying for a mighty movement of the Holy Spirit in this church. We pray that God will have His way with each of us individually and as a church. We pray that we will be unified as a body and we will be faithful to whatever He calls us to. We ask you to join us in prayer that God will use Peoples Church and His people in mighty ways. In Jesus name.
Robert French
I have been attending Peoples since 2011. I am married to my beautiful and amazing wife Katherine. In addition to two married sons and four grandchildren, we also have 5 children in our home. We have adopted all 5 of them from foster care.
God set us on an amazing journey 12 years ago. While fostering 10 children we have had many opportunities to share God’s love and the gospel; 7 of these children received the Lord Jesus into their hearts. Peoples Church has played a key role in supporting us and pouring into these children’s lives showing them God’s love and truth. As we surrender daily to the Lord, He is showing us what it looks like to pour ourselves out in light of eternity!
I treasure time in God’s word and prayer. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing guitar at home and with the church Worship Team. When there is time, I also enjoy boating, fishing, camping, time at the beach and golf.

Wesley Brown
I have been married for 19 years to my beautiful wife, Tracie, and have 2 kids. We have attended Peoples for 7 years. My favorite activity would be hunting. I love being in God's creation. I enjoy serving in the sound room. I have worked for a cabinet company for 21 years.
