Welcome to Lent, 2022  

Lent could not come at a better time this year.  The pandemic and surrounding difficulties continue, each week bringing new uncertainty.  Global stability has been threatened as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has the world asking, what now?  And to top it off, people are more in need yet less open to the Gospel of hope and reality of Jesus than ever.  

Where do we, the Church fit in?  

During this Lenten season, we’ll be walking with Jesus toward the cross, paying attention to what He had to say, mainly through His biographer, Mark.  

Each day, we’ll read from Mark or another Gospel, consider some basic thoughts, then prayerfully answer a couple questions.  

Let me encourage you to make time to write down your answers as the Lord guides.  I’ve left space each day for you to keep a journal of what God is doing as you seek Jesus first.  

We know Jesus is at work, and we will follow Him toward glorious victory as He transforms us for His glory. The Church has a dramatic role to play in this season, and it starts with whose we are.  We are His and He is transforming us!  

May we never be the same.
